India is full of lovely hill stations which have been established in the British era. These hill stations were developed in order to give respite to the Britishers from the intense summer heat. 1. Ooty

Ooty is known for its scenic beauty and picturesque landscape. It was originally established as the summer capital of Madras by the British.
